Pilot Projects to test the
RINGtech^®-Construction System

The aptitude of RINGtech^®-products for hydro-construction has already been proven within the framework of pilot projects. The following uses were successfully completed:

		Erosion prevention in tidal reaches
		The laying of RINGtech®-mats

		Foundation protection on a directional beacon in tidal reaches
		The laying of a RINGtech®-mat

		The protection of a groyne from wave overflow
		Covering with a RINGtech®-mat

		The construction of a connection dam between two islands
		Installation and inter-connection of fillable RINGtech®-gabions

		Bottom protection and scour prevention in front of a sheet piling
		Covering with a RINGtech®-mat which was tested under extreme propeller induced
		currents duting berthing manoeuvres

All projects will be and were carried out in collaboration with hydro-construction companies, water and shipping authorities, as well as the Federal Institute for Hydro-construction.
